Drugs are risky but it's all about human temptation and control. If you pop a 16 year old roman catholic infront of Pamela Anderson naked he's gonna want to ram her silly. 16 year olds will almost always fall to peer pressure, and almost always give into temptation.
That's being realistic, rather than saying 'Drugs are bad - don't do it', we know they're bad, people who take them must think at one point ' sh'it am I getting hooked ' , yet they still do it.
So rather than live in Bizaro World and pretend that people aren't going to do drugs, isn't the smarter opinion to accept that they will? Then the point turns to how to minimize the risk of drug taking; sit in a back room with your mates and bun weed, what could happen? You might slap someone you shoudln't, but you're not goin to kill everyone in the room.
:ball:
Like pretending people aren't going to kill each other? Still happens, but it happens less because everyone is against it, you take away that passion people have against murder, then people will do it more and more.
Influence plays a great part in life, those who listen generally stay out of trouble, but when the waves are crossed (e.g. one person saying it's good to take drugs, another saying it's not) then there is an even chance they will go the other way.
There are a lot of young members on this forum, that play MMORPGS... and so far the things they're seeing in this thread is that if you take drugs you level fast on MMORPGS, and it has no risks, and people are making out it's ok to do it.
If you have a kid, when it's young... if you like, tell it not to obey any law, break them all, murder, steal, rape, take heroin... w/e, but I bet they will listen to you over law. The same rule applies to peer groups.
People still accept that murder, rape, theft etc will happen... but without someone there saying it's wrong, it would happen all the time. Do you not understand? Obviously comparing that to taking weed is going a little OTT, but the moral of the story is still there.
