Chrisjc here, the lighting is very bad for me too. If another group member is near then I can see normally. But on my own it is much darker and I am having trouble seeing a lot of things around me. Not too keen on this tbh.

if your already on 60 fps your not gonna get a improvement best off asking people with problems before you done this if you know of anyone.

Fraps same as usual for me 60-65fps. What is the command for in game fps again? I did it a few days ago but forget exactly what it was, something like @checkdebug ?

Havent noticed any difference at the moment, around 50 in town as usual for me.

New lighting is too dark, not really liking it at all, maybe increase torch radius?

Less light = more fps? If I use candles instead of torches will this help an increase in fps even more?

It would have with the previous system... It has been optimized now and you should have optimal fps regardless of torch size.

New lighting system is like playing mir through a scope, not a good change imo.

The lighting system was changed along time ago from what it is now I beleive. This was because of the new higher resolution you could see more of the screen which made it look like the torch was less effective. Is this change just reverting It back to normal?

In caves it should exist but I think the torch should light the whole screen and the way it is now should be how it is when torch runs out.

No, it also changed out the light itself is generated, it's not as taxing on systems. The brightness is just something that needs tweaking now

Not sold on the flinch thing at the minute. Definitely needs more testing.

I think the Lighting change has helped a lot of people on slower systems, but I can't see **** all now on windowed mode lol. Please adjust the brightness or at least allow a toggle for this change!

All the changes look good. I actually like the new lighting system - makes it a lot more atmospheric, and stops people running along like headless chickens tbh.

Too dark ( feel less inviting if that's makes sense) , preferred the old lighting. if you are going to increase the torch radius please include hard torches into this. Which I think should have the biggest radius as their flame image is the biggest.
