Good event guys, you're never going to please everyone but im sure you are well aware of that by now. Casuals want drops the no lifers get, no lifers dont want casuals to catch up to easily, swings and roundabouts.
Im a casual, still didnt hit 40 went from about 27-37 in the event, which im happy with, got some little items to help boost my gold to keep hunting. (no 36 + weps or anything amazing)
Any event shouldn't last longer than 1 week in my opinion. I only play few times at night during the week and even I got bored at times because it was so heavy on the solo play.
If there is an xmas event, i think something similar is OK but but more emphasis on making group play (xmas is for family, being with people after all) or something, like the souls - nobody bothered because had just as much chance of getting something nicer, more easily from pumps/skulls. Maybe something that rewards those who put in the souls, will get a reward regardless of showing up to kill, then those that kill/hit get just more benes or something not too damaging to game.
One thing I would say tho is you should add one in that you have to clear all the mobs in all the floors before the boss spawns. Not a timed cave tho you got aslong as it takes but you can only do it once every 24hrs That initially forces players into getting % they wouldnt normally but gives them a reward at the end. Gives a good guild hunt too to lvl up and boss in Just my opinion.
Personally I am against keeping any instance stuff really, after watching it destroy chronicles (and originally voting for it) its fun at first but then quickly ruins the aspect of mir and any real cave hunting. This idea above is the only thing I would possibly agree to, but much more than a 24 hour cool down, casuals like me would just disappear in these each night we come on, would have to be a weekly thing, no time limit in cave, several floors, rammed, kill every mob to activate boss at end - but must have x amount in group to either go in cave or just kill boss to help promote group hunting and reduce someone just milking boss at end solo. This being a weekly thing would help a big fun, organised guild hunt each week without destroying the main function of mir and using all these caves that are already here, left unexplored.
Im hoping the drop system GM's mentioned will include random mob dropping rare stuff because as already mentioned, too easy for big guilds with no lifers to farm top end bosses. (That being said, should rarely goto a boss and get nothing, even if just a half decent brace/gem + bene)
