Ahh I see now. Thank you for that long read which explained what you meant much better without all the side tracking.
Your guild are doing EM and dying a lot and with ress you just get back up over and over again like the youtube of banshee buying ress scrolls
That this takes the challenge out of anything is a good point.
Is this true of any other boss? Surely in most KR other mobs are spawning to interrupt the tao and other bosses move about. In pvp if someone doesnt interrupt the tao then they deserve to ress successfully, like you said.
Its at EM that this spam ress is making everything too easy and undermining anything that might be in next patch.

Solutions, reintroduce ress ammy. Disable ress in EM room. Make the lightening in there more frequent, increase the range of the statues attack. Have mobs spawn there. Not huge dammage ones, easy to kill one hit but enough to interrupt the ress cast.
How long has the dead person got before they have to revive in town? Should this be shorter?
All of the other ideas, cool down negative buff etc(except ress ammy) will make things much more difficult for the smaller guilds and more casual players.

Sad part is, we've not had a single decent drop from EM having spent countless millions on kit to kill final stage, get the dscales needed for everyone to go again and again, me and 2 others doing 2 EM runs just to have enough pots to kill all stages... etc etc.

The really sad part is, after all this effort - not a single drop better than a violet ring. A violet ring. From "potentially" hardest boss in-game besides the megabosses (Warlord,EvilEmperor, etc) (Final stage normal hits for 400-500 HP. Cannot be done without sun pots)

Pretty depressing really. But back to original point, Res ammies won't solve anything really. People will just bring 5 res ammies. How long before going back to town could be shortened I suppose but again, won't make much of a difference. Problem is people being infinitely respawned, no matter what boss you are. If you have 1 or more tao's with Res you're gauranteed to kill the boss eventually unless there's unique circumstances like OrcWarLord where mobs respawn and own you faster than you can kill the boss (that's also owning you)

I dunno but whatever Sam does I hope it addresses the abusable issues.

P.S ****ing sort EM drop files out, for the love of christ. ty.

Cant see a solution. Putting a cooldown on skill cast just means get more taos and seein as you can run multiple clients here and its easy to level a tao up to use ress if you re really determined to play that way then thats what will happen. More taos off screen with ress, switch to that char when needed. No need to rely on other people you can do it all yourself with a couple pf pcs and mulitple clients.
Maybe make all krs have something like the lightening in old oks or rme nothing that does a lot of damage just enough to interrupt ress and then shorten the time before person has to revive in town

Why we are at it, can we remove the 2 second period when going through a door. Where you can't take any damage. As some people are using this to kill bosses. That is using a bug to kill bosses and not using the skill of you class.
IF this is true and an exploit then shouldnt it be reported or have a thread of its own not something tagged onto something else.

Could it be called an exploit? That it has taken a while to bother to mention it seems off to me.

Anyone else know about this door exploit?

No, it sounds like they are addressing an issue in game that is making new AI and tactical bosses irrelevant. It needs changing and anyone that says different is not seeing the big picture.

Sounds like they are addressing an issue which has been very useful to them doing EM and only ever getting a violet ring. No orther guilds will be able to do EM as easily if anything is changed because of this post. The skill has been in game for a while. Someone posted that this guild was doing EM a while back and now there's a post about ress.
I didnt say it shouldnt be changed. The timing of the report and the unfairness of changing this before anyone else can benefit is my point.
So if its going to be changed tell people the date when this will happen so everyone gets a chance or two at EM with ress as it is now
