Is this server still a thing thread is 1 week old with only 172 views...

Unfortunately i had a family bereavement earlier this month which has delayed plans for a small update. In one week from now i will attend the funeral and after that there will be some light shed on all the situation.
As previously mentioned the server is close to complete, but with ryan and kane having been away completing their uni exams it came to a hult for a period of time.
The server progression has once again started and will have a real drive after next week.
We did hype early on, and we will hype a couple of weeks before launch. This was planned from the beginning, we always knew there would be a very quiet middle point and thats absolutely normal.

The server has been close to complete last 4-5months. Dont get me wrong i can live without it so its not a rant about bringing it up asap.
Some critisism though:
1) Im pretty sure someone from Apocalypse team mentioned that live would come soon after 3rd Beta Stage. Quite obvious this wasnt the deal.
2) Why did you make so many beta stages? Let me guess. To track lets say 100 bugs and then slowly work on em? And without a 4th Beta Test (LOL) who will test those fixes or features or whatever you been working on last few months?
3) Yes the early marketing to build hype was great. In fact you created more hype than even you expected. The problem is that after the initial hype whole Apocalypse team went from 30posts per day to a post per 30 days. Your communication with this forum sucks. You could have a list of bugs and slowly erase the ones fixed to show ppl that you are getting there. As it is now from player's prospective noone knows an estimation of launch since noone has any idea what you working on. It could launch on September or it could launch at 2019.
4) On the procedure of creating that early hype you also killed this forum so good luck trying to create even more hype couple weeks before launch on a dead forum.
In general it would be nice if you lot start being more specific about what you working on, whats left etc instead of pointless posts that say nothing. You already barely post at all so at least make those post meaningful.

I agree with this entirely. Every point.
I've defended the server when it's come under attack, but really I just felt the same. There are 3 of you. And yet something came up that prevented all 3 from talking to people?
Not just that but the information coming from the 3 of you has been ... shall we say 'mixed' at best. And that's in the 3 posts in the last month that have discussed it properly.
I'm working on my own stuff anyway, so I'm not personally invested, but you created the hype and then left people hanging. There is going to be backlash from that, although certain individuals seem to have taken it as a personal slight on their being
EDIT: Also, sorry to hear about the family loss. That's an awful long time to wait for a funeral, which makes it worse too. Hope it all goes smoothly.
i knew this all along the trolling was trying to get you to admit it this is still months away from being live and needs another beta test with more then 5 people testing it real life comes first tho this is not coming out anytime soon law is gone for a month
ryan has very little time to work on as he has admitted himself and you are going threw some personal stuff so no real work is being done on it i said all along oct as a live date looking at dec/jan now

Causing such hype in the early development can cause more problems then good.

When/if the game launches, play it, i dont get all the crying inbetween, most ppl who would/will play aint posted crying about launch, suck it up, live life..

Crying =/= criticism. Learn it.
Very few, if even more than Mirin, could even be remotely classified as 'crying'.
Most are simply criticising the devs communication. Which is 100% fair after the hype they generated, asking them to invest effort in to BETA and even getting hyped itself.
AGAIN: I didn't do BETA or get the hype virus, so I'm not invested.

Once again we can go around in circles guys but the server is still under development and i accept that you may have opinions on hype and beta but it is essential with the crystal files.
we have updates to bring you hopefully very shortly. However we have and will never confirm anything till we are 100% and remember good things come to those that wait

what difference does it make how long it takes gaurantee majority will still play, just like to piss and moan cos they got nothing better to do. be done when its done. look really good guys ill be playing 100% no matter the wait. keep up good work.
Noone is rushing you to bring server up ASAP. I dont really care tbh.
What annoys me is that accidentally or not you killed this forum, there are litterally no upcoming servers, you drove away mirchronicle server team and their players which are a huge part of mir community and all that what for? To advertise a server that at least in my eyes appeared according to your words very close to live but few months later is still at unknown percentage to be ready.
So no you are not responsible for server not being ready. But you 3 are responsible for killing these forums and private mir servers in general for a server not being close to be ready.

That seems a bit harsh :S Do you honestly believe that these private servers in general are totally dead purely due to to these 3 guys overhyping their server (and their actions doing so)?
I honestly don't know what went on with Chronicles so I am talking without that knowledge, so please forgive that if it is indeed vital to what you are suggesting.
In my eyes all they are guilty of is overhyping. And most of that I honestly believe was pure mistake, due to them not realising a) how much they relied on one guy b) not realising how much work they still had to do.
They should hardly be strung up for that.

i read that with interest but i dunno what the hell you mean. i played chronicles to lvl 48 on a tao, grinding from day one. Chronicles had a shocking start, piss poor drops, no gold, stuff was rare as **** that shoulda been common etc etc etc. Id rather wait and get a great launch than go through that **** and pain again.
i quit chronicles and they were still on these forums at the time, i did notice when Apocalypse drew my attention back to these forums Chronicles had there own forum by then, but that was always the plan from day one with them, so hows it this teams fault i dont follow?
Infact this team has the beginnings of their own forum in place so its just the same.
At the end of the day we all want the same thing, This server asap, but with all the fixes in place and a **** hot experience for us all from day one, if that takes longer than we all really want then so be it, in the long run we will all benefit
