FF is a great skill, but the drawback is that it doesnt cast really fast...except for this server where the casting rate is faster...

Think he means a difference of 50, for example mc 0-50, in which case average of 25 makes sense. Just have to think of it like polyhedral dice.

Not all that relevant but it may be useful to some people

2x 6 sided dice (possible results 2-12) will give higher average results than 1x 12 sided dice (possible results 1-12).
So the 2x 6 sided dice have 11 outcomes with a 1/11 chance to roll ur highest result of 12.
The single 12 sided dice has 12 outcomes with a 1/12 chance to roll ur highest result of 12.

The only time playing DnD is useful is for seeing damage formula.

Well i pvped a wade wiz in st 7th last night called noob granted he didn't have ff but he was toe 2 toe me for ages i cant deal the damage required to kill a wiz at present, yes he tt twice but for the amount of time he could stand there getting hit by me was just stupid, if they were to make ff stronger then they would need to look at increasing tdb too.

funny that, cos i pvped a couple wade wizzies in BC with 43 dc and im was doing more than decent damage to them.
get more than 60 dc and u wont have any wiz toe2toe with u

Using FF on here is not dangerous due to it's cast speed increased..

dunno bout that, i fought with lee on my lvl 41 warr and i was getting close to him very easily, landing more than 2 hits with ease.
could be he's lazy tho i guess.

I can't see how what I said doesn't make sense? If they have mistakenly made wiz spells use base mc the. The results you are saying seem fair lol.

But yes ofcourse most spells shouldn't use base mc.

this doesnt make sense because no spell uses just base mc, what would be the point of top end mc then?
and base mc affects every spell, like i said it ups ur average, on euro the amount it changed ur average was huge tho so it may have looked like it was only base that matterd, but that was never the case.

k so i was actualy testing it further anyway (still luck 0 but that's just a matter of upping averages a 'tiny' bit
with mc12-83 i was doing averages of arround 65 < lowest i saw was 36 dmg, highest i saw was 101
with mc 11-54 i was doing average of arround 58 this time, lowaest i saw was 33 dmg, highest was only 72, just pure randomness

and this i should mention:
- the calculations are no different then they where on dm2 or phili code
- magic (both sc and mc) work rather horrible: you have a spells 'base' dmg + your base stat + a random (max stat-base stat)

big difference with say a warrior is: if a wiz/tao has a max-base of 50 then they'll do 25 dmg average, a war with max-base of 50 will do 25*1.2 for tdb, *x for flamingsword etc, so the war gets ALOT more boost from their stats then wiz or tao do :p
but thats just how mir is

thats my point, why does +29 mc mean +3 average damage and only +30ish top end? the damage for mc was never 1-1 on any spell, just doesnt make sense to me.

FF damage is fine, use red flower rings or hope for RME quest sword 10-3 MC I believe?
I also have noticed that gaining higher mc isn't working well, untamable with luck 7 and higher mc than me hits the same damage as me with luck 5 and lower MC. Something is wrong somewhere!

Because that's how it's meant to work?

If you added +29 BASE MC you'd then see an increase in your AVERAGE overall damage, and it would be far more consistant.

Adding +29 END MC means nothing, you just have a chance to now hit a little higher once in a while. This chance is increased by luck, but by a very minimal amount. You need Luck+8 or higher to actually have a decent chance of hitting nearer your max MC.

This is why, assuming you can't get luck+10, it's better to actually get a decent amount of base MC.

However with Luck+10 you don't need base MC though, which is what makes wizzies or warriors OP on most servers.

Seems fine to me, LeeBazzah was hitting very heavily with it in GFS KR last night and that was with 44MAC

What was your base last night?

I'm making a safe assumption that FF has been changed to stop the b/s that happened in Euro, either that or it was also changed in the Korean version.

I'm not entirely sure what these files are currently based from.

For those unaware of how FF worked in Euro it was simple.
Recall a group with 6/7 High MC FlameFielders in.
Rinse and Repeat

Ok...so iv gemmed a base kit up i can gt a base of 23 with a max of 62 and FF is **** with base...ill gladly show any1 ingame but it works off max which is bs lol...

Base gear on, hittin 110s odd 120 ( Mc 21-64)
Max gear on, hittin 160s odd 170 (mc 12-89)

QQ as always forgot that bit

Do the Average over the course of 10mins or so.

I'd expect the hits to be lower on the Base mc kit but it to be more Consistent

So was the damage more consistent over the longer period with Base MC?

Base MC - Higher base hits and lower high end hits with a more consistent set of average stats

High end MC - Lower Base hits and Higher High end hits with a varying set of results.

Did you take into consideration of that wiz gear may of had over 300+ life or possible full AC kit maybe +3 stuff? maybe a ton of sunnies? anyway, just dont try to pk a wiz than :P take a challenge and go for another warrior :P

I was hitting a wiz earlier, shield up but then went down, I got a good couple of hits and TDB in there with sheild down, and didn't kill.

Granted I only have 10-63 DC, but surely a few hits and FS with shield, and then a few hits plus at least 2 TDB with shield down would normally see a level40ish wizard die? i may be more used to high rate servers though.

Auto pot really doesn't help either. I hate that feature.

similar response, some wizzies are better than others and very finger trigger happy during pvp. especially when warriors always try to take out the weakest link first ( so they hope is weak).

i stopped playin, alot of changes to bullshit stuff because people want this or want that. They should focus on what they need for the server first. but hope everything works out. i may try again once server is reset.
