On reply to your comment.in reply to this post yes you can disarm someone of a knife easily if you are trained to do so but really only if the person threatening you does not have the guts or intention to actually stab you. If the person threatening is going to stab ya you will be on the floor before you know it. You can only out react someone if they have a delay, if someone wants to stab you they are not going to hesitate. And all this hard man talk stating you do not fear anyone just shows even more that you are probably some underdeveloped skin and bones behind a PC with his cap pointing 90 degrees into the air. If anyone gets a knife held up to them and i mean any1 would be scared, it's just how you compose yourself when you are in fear which is different. Stop talking crap because if you really believe that you will soon see yourself getting your head smashed on a regular basis because there is always someone who will get the better of you, exept if your name is Bruce Lee :P

If a person pulls a knife out on you and doesn't instantly use it, then they have had a hesatation and this is at the point you remove the knife from them. Anyone who pulls a weapon, wether it be a knife, gun or a lump of wood. If they do not use it with intention within the first second of pulling it, then you have them where you want.
As for the 'hardman' as you so put it, I don't fear anyone and I have damn good reason not to. Try being stabbed twice and on one of those occasions, it actually killing you or even being shot at (not directly, but indirectly). You grow a thicker skin and your attitude changes, my attitude now 'If it's going to happen it's going to happen'. As for getting my head smashed in on a regular basis due to my attitude, all I have to say is bring it on. I'm no 8st weakling and never have been, if someone wants to challange me then so be it. But I'm not going to back down from someone who pulls a weapon, only cowards pull weapons on people.
Oh and I've lived my life beyond that of what the average 28 year old has and life is means start to end, so it has to end sometime. I've probably got more chances of dying in a car accident, than being stabbed.

Heart stopping and not breathing = DEADActing the whole BIG I AM crap on a forum is just pathetic to say the least. You aren't the only person to have experienced things, but you are the only one rattling on about it like a sad old man.. YOU WEREN'T THERE MAN!! You're a ****ing cliche.
Being stabbed (if you actually were) didn't kill you, or you wouldn't be posting about it on LOMCN. I assume you mean you stopped breathing for a short period of time.
Anyway, carry on Mr. Exaggerate.
People react differently in situations.I'm sorry, But my mate has been stabbed twice in the neck.. And if somebody pulled a knife on him, He knows to get away.
And hes one of the "hardest" People in my area...
Its not about being tough or defending yourself. Its about life. Not just your life, But your loved ones also.
At the end of the day, I know how I would react regardless. Whats the choices you could have.u have ur kids names plastered all over ur body in tattoos yet ur willing to play chicken with a knife wielding fool and risk missing them growing up... sorry but i think ur priorities are all fkd up.
Both where from muggings.No... Youve said youd been stabbed twice.
What stopped you defending yourself the first and second time?
Believe me. Standing up for yourself wont get you anywhere.. If somebody comes upto you with a knife and asks for something you give it them.
Although, I have too much pride. I'd rather be stabbed than give them something oO
God, I need help..
On the first occasion I did give them what they wanted, the second time they got what theywanted but it wasn't enough for them. Its always a good thing to be prepared these days. But wont it be easier to say "heres the phone" And go home to your wife and kids?
Or "Your not taking it" And having your wife and kids either coming to see you or burying you?
Would you run away from a gun, your pretty ****** ether way there. It's down to situation and how you would react to it, I've seen friends of mine knock someone out just for looking at the wrong and I don't want to be the person on the receiving end of that or anything else.Ok. So saying you do fight back, But this time, They pull a gun?
Wouldn't that ruin much more years. Of yours and your loved ones?
Don't take this offensive but you seem pretty selfish.
