Well as most of you will have noticed. At night it seems to be very Dark lol. and torches don't do much at all. Can we not implement better torches as its pretty hard bashing around in the dark looking for the mobs. Also it doesn't seem to stay daytime for long when it finnaly gets round! :)

Think if by turning your brightness up or gamma should help, but like u I can't see anything thats 5 squares in front of me, even put mob names on but doesn't help as I can only see names when there next to me

When the brightness is high enough you can actually see everything.

I found myself running around 15-17 without even a candle cause my Scimitar maxed my hand weight lol.

Or but the 10k Eternal Flame Torch, which gives more vision

My see everything I mean it's still dark, but if I look properly I can see all the objects and mobs

Yep, somehow the visibility is much poorer than I am used to from other mirs and it is poorer even during daylight. Maybe because the maps are more busy with those pinky gay mir3 trees and other such useless candy? Even the bridge near Border has to have some wine on the handrail. I liked very much the old look of that bridge whenever I passed over it... I call this kind of changes gratuitious and wish 'they' just improved what needs improving, not spoil what worked and looked good with their %^&* they can't leave anything alone, have to put their stamp on everything.

Also when you run about the map redraw is more jerky, flickering like, than how I know it from other more classic mirs. It was never too smooth but this edition seems to be worst in that regard. I guess you get used to it after a while.

Another blemish I don't like is how your mouse cursor vanishes when placed over a harvestable tree or mob, gives a bad, lost like feeling. Also don't like the new progress bar that replaced the old original way bashing the tree which was so much better. And auto collecting stuff that is suposed to fall on ground only finishes the sad affair it has become. I suppose that's mir3 element like those pink trees and cows? And last nail in the coffin is that tree vanishes only when harvested second time, not sure if you ever collect anything on that second harvest. Some trees can be harvested many times over but likely collecting anything only first time, IMO its bug, didn't go look in the bug section yet.

I started sin char and he seems lazy slow swinging his weapon and its not like I only have some distant memory of it, in the waiting for this to open I played mir2forever that has all things I mention in this post properly implemented, how they should be.

Well, that's not solution, my laptop has older display and is very sensitive when it comes to the viewing angle and if I look more from top, I can see even in the dark area, same thing if you put display brightness way up but that's ugly to play like that.

it's because your client is running in a higher res so you just see more. The light is probably the same as other mirs.

When talking of first impressions, I should also mention RTs/DEs not stacking, that quite surprises me, really. Normally I am all for harder mir but this is a bit too much? Also storage space - isn't it a bit too small for 2014? I guess that will be all subject to if you ponny up rl cash in GS?

---
OK the storage has three tabs I didn't notice yesterday. But the more I go about the Bichon the more I hate the foliage LOL the palm trees cement it, you barbarously spoiled noob mir experience, that was one thing why in 2003 I didn't seriously get into playing mir3 and I don't know about this time, makes me want to go back to classic eternal's ps mirforever. Who asked for this mir3 stuff I pray ask??

Also #$%^&*short time in char selection screen, why bump pple off after such a short time? I take it is vastes server load less than if I park myself in SZ? The more I look around the less I like this mir.

lol this made me laugh.. the pinky gay mir3 trees are fabbbbbbulous!

yes, i also think this is the main reason.. also everything looks smaller, characters, items, buttons.. and since there is more map to see which is dark you have the impression of seeing less light

Eternal torch just has more dura, it's peddler torch which has the bigger area of brightness, needs to be crafted :P

Nope, it's not.

As there are some maps that are in fact pitch black.

I went to the final floor in Mines and it's pitch black for me as well, floors before I can still see in the dark though.

I have my res set to max and on 32-bit so could be why I'm noticing all the suttle differences?
