MMOs should be focused around group play, playing as a guild and minimal solo play on the side. Sometimes it feels as though everyone wants the entire game based around the single player and not a larger group. Bosses for instance should always be a group encounter not something a single player can easily get to and achieve. By that same token no class should be the best at levelling, PvE, PvP, bossing and cash farming.
This is the story of a Tao called Libero, played for a month (not going to talk about running around for worthless global shout bosses who only end up dropping helms/accessories with max sc/mc/dc which end up having no real impact on gameplay):
) lvl solo til 43 notes - enjoying Banya Temple more and more and ended up getting 2 great adds but now lvling is getting really slow, decided to join a guild after heavy thinking (THC)
) found out about WW, exp improves a lot, rarely a group going on but I have a high amount of Holy and I'm just gonna chop up these dinosaurs on my own np...taking breaks in Banya Temple last floors kiling subs, no luck killed 10 subs and many mobs nothing exciting.
) made 45, excited about goru cave I hear one sin can't stop crying about doing, I try my best to find active wizards to try snow with but none is interested. ending up doing goru with sin which is fun and the syngery is promising! disappointed with no chance of drops but the place is engaging so it's fun for now! lvl 47 and empowered feels great and now this is feeling more promising. More Banya temple sub boss killing, over 20+ killed not sure what is the point in this place, there appears to be nothing good from here! question why a spirit set drops in bug cave and you a million mobs in banya temple all fairly tough and even ranged mobs and no important items.
) made 49, synergy between me and sin is fantastic and we thrash anything infront of us people and all, decide to change to hoonymoon to get me ready for book, place is so much more annoying with all this aoe spam bs but we get used to it and it's ok. both of us are annoyed with game outside of this because banya temple for me ends up being worthless in potential and Sin has to run around for subs for pot money back all the time.
) quit after realizing how powerful pet explode and new pet is, the duo with my sin friend (kingtony) is basically a lie and once i get these abilities the logical thing I should do is to shove him aside "i'm solo" now. Areas aren't exciting for drop potential, closest to what drops should be is JP and it's been designed to be a warrior paradise (biased much? yes shane game isn't for me ofc it's been made for you...). Hells and other warrior's in my guild continue to solo and I don't blame them it's logical, Hell's makes one Tao that he used to group with feel unwanted and then that Tao realises that this game isn't designed for him (FZEROGX).
TLDR, Zircon limited my fun and made me realise quickly that it's solo orientated and designed for wallet warrior's (excuse pun) and non mainstream areas in the mir world are just meant to annoy you and question "why are they here?" and you look at accessories/weapons and hope for elements/max dc/EI because every other stat is worthless.
Fix - prioritise tao's/sin's, ignore the *** out of warrs/wiz's they are happy enough with the game to not quit stop mothering them! (lvl 70 wiz "I can't level jamie!!!!" "don't worry my child you are my 1st priority" *jamie appeases wizard with the blood of 1000s of players who dare trend into tempest*) fix the drops, make global bosses mean something, fix the weapons and accessories to mean something, a lvl 38 weapon is not a weapon for life you think a Tao is happy with this game being stuck to a panda stick?
