Milo Confirm these are Hero!

Wtf's this 'hero' shit, someone break it down for me. I like reading threads but like it more when I know what they're about =]

Nobody really knows what's in them except Devilsoul, that's what this is all about because Tjss has those files shown at beginning of this thread, and Devilsoul are the only one's that know how to "unpack" them apparently, and gold is translatable as it's in the mir3 files? it's just a matter of finding them all.

I find that most here at LOMCN including Admins/mods/smod wont share anything with you especially if it means that they have direct compertition with regards to servers.

i do release anything i can get my hands on, and so do the others imo, some keep some release thats the way its been on here for years.

i would love to know how to unpack these files if i knew how to lol
i have a few versions of the hero files on my pc, all are completely useless as there heavily encoded, and packed the m2servers are about 1.2 meg in size and they use about 10 .dll files to run, the .dll files are protected aswell so the files i have i would love to release but it would be pointless unless you wanted to run and chinese server with everything in chinese.

these are the next generation mir files, basicly they have more skills, a hero of your own that runs independantly to you,( like the slave system) it uses what ever skills you give it, it uses its own pots, can pick up items gold etc, it has its own bag , and in combination with you, it can cast dual spells / skills etc that look bloody awsome

altogether its a great set of files but getting ones that can be translated etc is pretty hard unless you buy them or know someone from the chinese sites who can point you in the right direction to unpacked ones

Thank you for that explanation, there are also alot more items and caves etc.

Basically it's a whole different server from anything ever seen before, it is closest to 1.9 . . . i think devilsoul team said, but it has a class of it's own

how big is the m2server ? (bytes) 1,232,896

are these files the ones where they have to be registered to your machine, ie like microsoft do with there activations ? No

how old are they ? do you have the m2server date ? 4th December

Err what do the mir3 files have to do with mir2? 1.2mb is packed btw.. Any M2 under 2meg at least is protected. Gold is stored multiple times as a String in the M2Server itself

I don't think you guys even understand what protected means. The Chinese protect there exes to prevent other Chinese people stealing them modifying the about screen and selling them on as there own. As a consequence of that it means we cannot translate either the client or the m2 (So well everything you see ingame bar npcs, item names, spells and mobs will be Chinese)

Some of us (Rhys and AngelOfDeath being the first) learnt how to unprotect the exe's thus allowing us to translate them.

As for me releasing what I have I do believe that choice is mine and mine alone to make. As far as I'm concerned had I not even posted my server thread none of you's would even know about the Hero files.

look how many threads in the past month talking about *is this the hero files* ...
If you were genuinely capable and had a fileset you could translate or work on ... you wouldnt have to ask that question would you??

This is pretty simple to understand, Even if someone Unpacked the Hero files, you would probably not even come close to Devil Soul server, So just wait and play that server and when Devil Soul release them then you can. Plus you will have more off an idea what Hero is all about.

As for the exe's being packed, some of us would like to learn to beable to unpack the exe's to have a better understanding. So it would be great if someone could help with this or even point people in the right direction of where to get information from to do it.

That would be quite difficult considering I would of posted about said files and features the day the Chinese released a set of files

There are so called 'unpacked' files around, i spent a few hours and got 3 sets. The newest set i got hold of is on hold as i was going to translate everything but tbh i cba atm as the 'new' features are so basic that the coding gods of lomcn would find it a a walk in the park to add them. They really are nothing special atall.
