So... what makes these demo files? I know they've been named "Demo files" by the person that released them, but surely if work is done on them, they can be upgraded enough to be the same as the real files?

The fact that they are named demo files are because of set limitation's, they are for you to preview and test the new functions to see if you like the product before you buy it. The same as any other product does before you buy it they offer trial or demo chances.

Well the M2 does hold the functions for level but the save is all down to the db server as it stores and holds the data, man i aint to sure but the m2 is pretty much full. Just get the other m2 i released working and then boom, sorted.

if its a encryption issue forget it We've never cracked the encryption before and i cant see it happening now

Its been done before with the 1.4 encryption, whats different about the encryption here ?

It was changed :P I beleive the only people to crack the encryption after 1.4 were sqlmir and mirlander and that was for 1.8

Im not saying it cant be done but I highly doubt it lol

Remember Dan if xsoffee has the source for the m2 he has the encryption so its just a matter of coding the loginsrv and dbsrv to use it

Actually the encryption is not "that" hard to crack, i have maybe 20% of it cracked, i can decodes strings etc, but some special characters and headers i cannot decode, as for encoding, i havent even tried :P

We can only hope the source is 1 day released, even if we had all the
encryption (the correct buffer tables :P) we would still be missing all
features mir 2.3 has.

You are not getting any closer to the full version your just working out whats missing and what can be done, if you were getting any closer to the full version you will be able to save what happens in game, remove the limitations, have all the database's populated with spawns and so forth

You may be fixing/adding some functionality in but in the end you wont be able to run a fully stable server with these until you buy the full version.

Yes the work is good becuase you can just copy it over once/if you buy the files but there doesnt seem to be any word on a price or a release date for them.

When a full verion may be released.
What the full version may include
How much it would be.

Be nice if xsoffee could give us some info...
