since i started being a n00b to priv servers everything was big on mir...like there were up to 20+ servers up with 10+ ppl online at least,and l8ly i ant been playing mir i ant been playing for like 8months now lol cus i bored of it. and ive noticed the servers are some how getting killed? deserted? i dunno how to say it but dissapearing possibly? ive thought to my self if i was to make a massive server would u play ? i mean eny tht played devias, if u liked tht this will b 2x better also if i was to make a server wud i really b getting enything out of it? and also i will b able to make a server better then eny1s up i know but i think tht if every1 will join it wemade will b suspicouse tht every1 joining 1 server? would i get done plz awnser my questions

Your server... you are sayng you can make one big awesome server wich EVERYONE would like, but it is not true. Only way i think it would be possible, is if you have 2 servers (like euro, dragon server and phoenix server), on one server there are high stats and high EXP, when on the other server there are lowish stats and low exp (something like 4x euro exp value).

Still, you really sound like a 8 year old, and your attitude really wouldnt attract players, for example:

Iif you would be writing the ad. for your server, i doubt many people will like it from the first view if the see something similar to this "join meh serv tis great evryone luvs it youll too", well you get my point, you dont seem really mature. It is like seeing how the kids in RS talk, about the same maybe even worse.


Lets get back to the main point shall we..

So what are you planning to do? I doubt you will manage to do a whole GREAT server yourself, as i am pretty sure you lack the skill to make most of the things for the server. I am pretty sure if you will actually start the project, i am pretty sure you will be looking for a server team, and the things that need to be done by the team will be everything (or near), and you will be the "idea man" or something , it is pretty typical when people want people to do the work for them, they usually take the job of the "idea man".

private server were better befor people found out about it. 2 years ago, you had to be skilled to run a server. you had to know what you were doing. nowadays, everythings handed to you on a plate, you cant work a single thing out for yourselves. you are NOOBS.
i bet i can name atleast 20 out of 25 people who are hosting servers and are noobs. why are they noobs? because they cant figure anything out for themselves. once they learn how to protect their pc ON THEIR OWN. private servers will get people on.

you will think your server is great, I think that the server i am making at the mo is great but in no way do i think i will have everyone playing on it

and as for your idea of mid exp with high exp events everyday DS has been like that for 2 years now and not everyone plays it

what i am saying is because of the fact that we are all different, we all like different things, we all want different things from a server
the only way to get everyone to play your server is to make everyone happy and that cant be done

the only reason we say use search is because LOMCN is over 2 years old and the questions people are asking these days have been answered over and over and over

whats the point in building up a forum like this if it is not being used in the right way
Lomcn is a DB of info on Mir2 and Mir3 servers and to find answers in a DB you need to search for them

yes we all had to start somewhere but when the likes of myself started with the mir server file we where not lucky enough to have a forum like LOMCN and MSRF was only just starting out
we where not able to come runing to a forum to post every little problem that we came across, we had to work it out and learn for ourselfs.

What I am getting at is that people these days are getting lazy, the want it all, they want it working, they want it english and they want it NOW

when has my server gone down or even been down (apart from a reboot)
when you where attcking all the servers my server was the ONLY one that was still online you took my server down once and while your so called attack was going on all the alarms in the datacentre where going off to inform us of the said attack you people seem to think that there is no way to stop a Ddos attack if there was no way to stop it then the net would not be here

now can an admin ban this ass as he has just admitted that he is one of the people behind the attacks

Thats not true.

If you DoS every single server going, excluding yours, no one will have a server to play will they? The majority of the people would come play your server, but if they don't like it, they'll quit. And before you say, "but then they wouldn't have a server to play", Mir isn't the only game going. They'd venture off onto other games or wait for their original server to come back up.
