Druid Tuning – “The Great Unfreeze Patch”
We found the combo that was freezing Druids solid… and then we politely told it to stop existing.
A focused polish pass on several Druid shapeshift skills that, when used together, could previously cause
client-side freezes or temporary lockups. The underlying effects remain the same, but the way they update has been made far smarter, smoother, and — most importantly — stable.
Why this matters:
Certain combinations of
Moonshadow Concord, Ascendant Shift (Cycle of the Wildheart), Thornweave Covenant, and form-swappingcould previously overwhelm the client with repeated identical updates. This is what caused some Druids to “soft-freeze” mid-combat or during transforms. The changes below directly target that issue.
What changed (in player terms)
Moonshadow Concord (Aura) – No more aura spam
- Now behaves like a proper persistent toggle rather than a machine-gun of updates.
- Pulses calmly every 15 seconds instead of constantly reapplying.
- Lasts for 120 seconds, reducing unnecessary refresh traffic.
- Still updates instantly when you swap forms (Wolf ↔ Bear ↔ Arachne).
- Cleans up properly when allies leave your aura range instead of lingering awkwardly.
Cycle of the Wildheart – Smoother Ascendant Shift
- Ascendant Shift is no longer “rebroadcast on repeat”.
- It now only resyncs when:
- the buff is missing,
- its value actually changed, or
- it is about to expire.
- Result: far less transform-time stutter or freezing, same power.
Thornweave Covenant (Shield) – Smarter, quieter updates
- Shield now refreshes only when:
- its value changes,
- a periodic sync is due, or
- it is near expiry.
- Same defensive behaviour — significantly less client strain.
Cleaner shapeshifts (Werewolf / Werebear / Arachne)
- If there are no incompatible pets to remove, the game no longer forces a full stat recalculation.
- Faster, leaner transforms with less overhead (and fewer hitching moments).
Primal Charge – No more UI jitter
- The charge display no longer hard-resets every refresh.
- It now clamps and updates smoothly through the normal flow.
Translation:
If you were experiencing freezes or momentary “Druid lockups,” this patch directly targets that problem. Your build feels the same — but your client should now stay responsive when things get spicy.
BladeDancer -- Shadow Army Polish
We didn't give your shadows coffee. We just taught them how to behave.
A focused clean‑up pass on BladeDancer Shadow Army and related systems to make the kit clearer, smoother, and far less likely to misbehave.
What players will notice
Skill Tree tidying (finally)
- ShadowArts and UmbralArts icons have been fixed in the Skill Tree.
- All Passive abilities now live in the Passives tree where they belong (no more treasure hunts).
Flicker Strike -- clearer, cooler, cleaner
- Description updated to actually match how the skill works:
- Blink‑strikes from behind.
- Consumes all Ritual Charges for bonus damage.
- Chains to additional nearby enemies based on charge count.
- Grants a brief self‑haste on hit.
- Deals extra damage when used inside the Shadow Realm.
Shadow Army: "Less Chaos, More Control"
Better Pet Controls
- Shadow command buttons are now labelled in plain English (Recall/Dismiss instead of vague skill names).
- Locked buttons clearly tell you which skill unlocks them.
- All skill‑gated UI logic is now consistent across the panel.
Visible Shadow Upkeep
- When your shadows are draining mana, you'll now see it:
- Mana label shows (-X/s) while upkeep is active.
- Mana bar tints to a poison‑style colour.
- You can no longer half‑pay upkeep - if you can't afford the tick, shadows are dismissed cleanly.
Smarter upkeep costs
- Upkeep is now percentage‑based per second:
- Normal mobs: 0.5% max MP/sec
- Sub‑boss: 1.5%
- Boss+: 5%
- Cost is rounded up each tick so edge cases can't get weird.
No more over‑summoning shenanigans
- Effective summon cap now scales with Soul Weight (without consuming soul slots).
- You can't summon duplicates of the same shadow profile while it's active.
- The system now counts actual living shadows instead of trusting old trackers.
Prune your Shadow Pool (new)
- Each active shadow row now has a permanent delete button (
).
- Requires confirmation.
- Safely removes the profile from your pool, loadout, and any pending reconstitution, then dismisses any active copies.
Smarter shadow commands
- Your chosen stance now persists properly across commands.
- Abyssal Recall now uses the reliable pet recall path.
- Shadow behaviors stay consistent instead of randomly desyncing.
Passives actually level
- Using Shadow Extraction, Arise, Shadow Rebind, Monarch's Command, or Abyssal Recall now correctly feeds their related passives.
Less server churn, fewer spikes
- Shadow level sync only happens when values change.
- Aura/regen/haste support effects are throttled to avoid spam.
Cleaner Shadow Snapshots
- Extracted shadows now copy stats from the monster template instead of whatever chaos the corpse was in mid‑fight.
Translation
Your BladeDancer still feels like a commander of an angry shadow army - it just does it without freezing, desyncing, or summoning existential crises.
Taoist Tuning — The Great Harmony Patch
“Balance is not silence… it is very carefully calibrated chaos.” — Andy, probably
Spiritual Ward — Cleaner, Smarter, Faster
- Spiritual Ward now scales its cleanse timing with skill level.
- Cooldown smooths from 120s → 60s as you level it up.
- Group-cleanse breakpoints are untouched — higher levels still help your friends, as nature intended.
Translation:Less waiting, same team value.
Meditative Flow — Taoist Aura Glow-Up
Meditative Flow now actually
feelslike a master support passive:
Radius Buffs (bigger hugs)
Your following spells now reach further when Meditative Flow is learned and levelled:
- Mass Heal
- BloodLust
- Magic Resistance
- Resilience
- Elemental Superiority
- Life Steal
- Mass Invisibility
- Purification (wider multi-target search)
Healing Cap Buffs (bigger numbers)
Meditative Flow now boosts healing ceilings for:
- Heal
- Mass Heal
- Corpse Exploder (Holy only) — bigger holy boom-heal when you’re aligned correctly.
Translation:More range, more power, more “thank you Taoist.”
Duality — Expanded and Actually Useful
Duality’s dark/holy lock now matters for
more of your kit, not just a few niche skills. New skills that now respect Duality
andcan advance it when used successfully:
- Searing Light
- Explosive Talisman
- Improved Explosive Talisman
- Demon Explosion
- Corpse Exploder
Translation:Your alignment finally feels like a core playstyle instead of a side quest.
Soul Resonance — Hardcore Safety Patch
- Softcore: unchanged (still spicy if you misplay).
- Hardcore: no more forced instant death.
- You now retain a percentage of HP based on skill level:
retained % = max(0, 50 - (2 × skill level))
Translation:Skillful Taoists get a safety net. Panic button still recommended.
Corpse Exploder — Smarter, Deadlier, Holier
Targeting feels less cursed
- Now supports local auto-targeting if clicking a corpse is awkward.
- Prioritises highest-level corpse first, then nearest.
Alignment behaviour
- Dark Duality: bigger blast radius + bonus damage.
- Holy Duality: converts into an ally-focused heal burst instead of pure damage.
Translation: More reliable, more thematic, and far less “why didn’t that work?”
