Couldn`t really care less.
But i do believe the server creater should be able to make some money to cover costs.

id rather pay £2-6 per month than have donations,
because:
-its fair
-no1 gains the advantage
-no1 can moan
-shows its more professional
etc etc, not rly a downfall other than... its a private server, and private servers *should* be free
id only ever p2p for a server that had..
-custom files
-very good balance
-looked like it would stay up for look
-good stability
-loads of things to do ingame, new areas/mobs etc etc
-loads of new things coded
etc etc
well thats the point tryin 2 be made atm, no server is gonna be run for free, outta the developers pocket, simple reasons being
-Why should u?
-Why should u put up with all that grief GMs get when ur gainin nothing, just losin liek £150 a month on dedi/ftp etc costs?
end of the day, money pays for better Dedi PCs, better FTPs, better websites, better forums, better everything
id never run a server and put up with all taht grief and shed out £150 a month, thats just insane, i enjoy playin with files etc ye, so id just keep it as offline.

even if ur hostin on ur own PC, its still not free
ur still payin for electrical bills, spare parts if the pc breaks, buyin the PC in 1st place with good enuff specs to not make it lag, bandwidth costs, havin to sacrafise downloadin/uploadin
and even then, u still have to pay for website/forum/FTPs
end of the day, if uwant it to be a successfull server, it HAS to be on a dedi

even u excepted donations for ur server back in the day, as i remember that guy... wallet or something (know it was a W lol) donated towards u, and u banned me for pkin him and takin his items

Any private server (not just Mir) that has pay to play has been shut down. (I highly DONT recommend it!!!)

whats the difference between donating and pay 2 play... other than pay 2 play option is fairer

Its free to play Mir2 yet there payment system for items works and is the way it should have been done from the start
They make more money now then they ever did with p2p

You pay money for drugs that give you a "boost" ingame
These drugs can only be paid for while ingame (extra ingame window) for real life cash
everyone has access to the same drugs
Once the drug is used its gone and you have to buy more (if you want to)
This system has been running for over a year on Wemades Mir2 servers and they have not had a problem with it and everyone is happy

why would u play euro? when its a dead end game, with no staff, no updates, cheats everywhere
so ur sayin if a better version of euro wasnt put online, with laods updates and ****, u wouldnt even pay £2 a month to play?
