After the reboot will the cooldown after rage/pro be removed again? That was working but after the reboot it was removed.

Server has only been up 13 months. Keep going though, I'm sure one day someone will take you seriously.

His post says almost 14 months.

Also, how long was the testing prior to the server being open to people? I'm sure the sins would have been bugged then too.

The Magic Delay change will stay reverted for now so it'll be the same. That change was causing disconnections for users so needs more tweaking before it can be implemented again

Lets do some basic maths.
If Flame Field can hit 4-500 damage (like it did prior to the nerf) and it can hit 24 enemies per cast.
400 x 24 = 9600
500 x 24 = 12000

so FF can do 9600-12000 per cast.

Granted with your pathetic kit you probably only did around 220 per FF
so 220 x 24 = 5280 damage.
That is still considerably higher than any other call can even hope to output.

the next would be Archers using Piercing shot for 210 vs 9-10 mobs if they stay lined up. 2100 damage.
or a warrior - CHM 8 mobs at 120(top end?) 960 damage.
or a tao - lol lets not bother.
Sin - 400ish top end in one cast. vs 1 mob.

AOE should deal LESS damage per mob that single target attacks the benefit of AOE is that it hits and area with effect,, multiplying the damage output considerably.

Again i dont really care about chronicles balance but the number you are using even though they are accurate at a guess they are very situational and a very easy way to lie. According to your example i would guess blade avalance is the strongest warrior spell?

If we are talking about damage over time then yes you would combine x amount of movement through firewall damage at x per step vs a warriors x attacks per second dealing x damage per swing vs a sins x attacks per second dealing x damage per swing.

I'm more than happy do discuss that if you want to?


Wizards complaints are that they are only doing 90 damage with FF - that is still a potential 2160 damage from 1 cast. higher than what any other class can do from 1 cast.

@Razarus - were you ingame yesterday? Regardless of the fix sins needed on their animation, you cant honestly be saying you think the speed sins are at is correct? Shop gear sins are flooring people all over the place. They need to be quicker than they were, but whatever speed their at now seems a hell of a lot quicker than speed 8, and its simply too fast, even without the flinchlock.

@ICON - appreciate some things for warr's need looking at, SD as with SS could do with a couple seconds adding to the cooldown, but it is completely useless using BadBoy as the warrior standard. Be it his ping/speed or whatever, he hits harder and more consistently in pretty much everyone iv spoken to's experience than even better kitted warriors. Yes iv seen him 1 hit high lvl's through shields and seemingly from off screen, he's even flattened warriors in better kit and similar lvl before they even get a swing in, but he is no where near the standard for even good geared warriors.

Half the problems this server comes to are because everyone looks to balance using the top 1-2% of each class, all this does is **** up the other 98%.

Again for the server team, I fail to understand how **** like this happens, unless you are actually doing no testing at all. That change to sins and warriors took the whole server 15 seconds to test and say "yeh...its ****ed", and this seems to happen every time something changes. This isn't something caused by stress, number of users or the fact you could only do so much testing in the time available. Any sin and warrior with half a brain cell could see instantly that fix was way off.

So if thats their main pvp spell for single damage then yes their moan is a bit justified. After all from what i read MS and blizz were the spells that were a bit fuked pvp wise so thats what the server team should look into.

This server will never be balanced or close to balanced simply because of server team's mindset. They are trying to clone euro which was one of the most unbalanced servers ever and whatever balance it had was based on pro and para rings that dropped off hens.

FF isn't very situational for it's typical usage. I say that, you do see some idiots FFing 1 mob at a time, probably because it's their highest hitting single target spell.

FF is perfect for killing a lure of mobs, where it can hit it's maximum potential. A wiz hitting 24 mobs at a time isn't unheard of, infact it's common practise.

The fact FF hits for 400+ on a single target is crazy. It requires no skill to target anyone. You can cast it whilst in your bubble taking no damage.

FF shouldn't be as powerful as it is. If you have 2 wizards standing together using the skill, it would take out anyone who came close.

Blizzard shouldn't hit as hard as it does, it's a slowing spell.

Met strike is the damage dealing spell for AOE. Thus being rooted for a long time. Though the animation needs to be sorted for off screen

Assassins were speed 6 before, with warriors capped at speed 7. The changes in the reboot made assassins actually hit speed 8.

Only briefly bud, and yes it "looked fast" but is that only because we have been used to going really slow?
if it was a true 8 as harry has stated it was, then is that not correct?
If its does prove to be "too fast" then maybe aspeed 8 shouldnt be achievable instead of just making 8 not be 8..

Thank you for putting FF Back. it is only "OP" if you are a uber high Wizz with amazing kit, if, like myself and most players, you have an average kit at around lvl 46-8 then 400DMG is a dream not a reality.

As much as all this is flattering, unless you can actually provide examples ozzie its a bit pointless. To my knowledge, ive not 1 hit any high level wizzies through shield recently. Trust me, id remember. And which better kitted warriors have i floored recently? Genuinely curious as again i'd remember this.

Damage for PVP should be calculated differently than PVE... would sort so many potential 'OP' issues out.

You could finally give a wizard a high single target dps spell versus mobs...
You could balance FF PVP/PVE...
There is about 100 other examples, but i'm a wizard so i'm only listing the ones that would benefit me.

The way to fix that Clintus is to boost its base damage and reduce it's scaling, meaning lower wizzies aren't punished but also stops it from being their highest single target spell.
