I've been playing a sin also recently and with ss teamed with another sin we made mincemeat of any other class. Having a wizz as main I admit mb was slightly op and a 25% reduction might be the answer but FF needs to be left alone . For now with reboot ,sense has prevailed.

Two sins is good but try fighting against 2 FF wiz. Both the sins will die instantly and the Wizards will be unaware that they were even pvping and just continue on levelling.

I find it hard to believe that you managed to make mincemeat of anyone.

Picture how good two wizz working together are!

Unsure where my thread just got sent to but:

assassins are still operating on speed 6; the exact same as prior to the reboot. Lastnight we got changed to speed 8 as advertised but the flinch lock and the way it seemed to be a mix of speed 6 and speed 10 caused burst damage which was very overpowered.

see theres your problem you want to tank 2 FF wizz, doesnt matter there's 2 of you.

if theres 2 ff wiz there maybe you should think i need to split them not im going to ss inside and kill both.

sins are meant not to tank.

how does 2 wizz survive 2 sins if you carnt kill the sins ?? since FF is there only damage and no escape apart from walking.

Blizzard and MeteorStrike are also incredibly strong, non mitigatable, large AoE spells in the wizard arsenal as far as I'm aware?

We agree sins aren't meant to tank. Would you agree wizzies aren't meant to tank?

If so, why is it a wizz can tank bosses/mobs/majority of classes (warrior excluded) better than any class in the game currently due to MagicShield?

This is based on every wizard 1) being high enough to learn those spells and 2) getting them in the first place.

A lot of these arguments are assuming each class has top gear and all spells and high enough lvl etc - what's stopping the sin from ShS to the wiz when they cast blizz/met and nailing them whilst they're 'frozen' due to cast? Or even ShS away to safety. (same even applies if the sin doesn't have ShS - which is related to my first point about everyones points being based on everyone having end gear and spells, which just isn't realistic or true).

Fact is that gemming has ruined PvP - it allows people to get insane dmg whilst the 'normal' players suffer. Personally, I think Gems should have been limited and a lot more items and weaps / armours included - this would solve a lot of the problems

That's based on an assassin being high enough to use shadow step and having the money to buy it also.

Limiting gems won't change a thing, the rich will still get stronger and people will still cry

Yup, I covered the fact the sin may not have ShS - so my point is still valid.

I disagree, it will make a big difference - it will stop 'the rich' from having so much more dc/sc/mc than most normal players thus reducing the amount of insane dmg and people being dropped quicker. in short, more balance.

Of course you will still have rich players but that's why you introduce more items and more weaps/armours - this way people are relying on getting gear to increase stats (slightly) rather than smashing orbs/gems or whatever hoping for +5 on one item regardless of whatever lvl they are. Stats should increase by lvl not by how much money someone has.

But then everyone ends up in the same kit eventually no?

Everyone is in the same kit now, only difference is the gems used. But if more items/weapons and armours were introduced then no, not everyone would be in the same kit - some yes, but i'm not talking about the odd item here and there I'm talking about a significant increase in items - it's not difficult to do, time consuming sure, but not difficult.

I remember on euro being Para'd by warriors with a para ring and living long enough to escape and these were top players - imagine if you had para rings on here - no chance. It just shows how unbalanced it all is.

To me, this is the bigger issue (gemming).

I see what youre saying, and im not against it so long as there were enough items to offer progression/something to look forward to. After all, everybody wants upgradings.

To be fair, your second point is quite true. I remember when hitting 250 on FF was considered beastly. Now its 500+. But then we do have harder caves here with harder mobs and bosses. Even without +3 stats on items from gems, it would happen eventually as people outgrow content and new content is added etc, just more slowly.

Definitely, the key is having something for people to work towards, an upgrade.. progress. This just isn't in the game at the moment, some may argue that it is but truth is that it's on such a small scale when it could be improved so much.

At least this approach would offer more control and more balance to the game, bosses and so forth can be amended to reflect dmg output etc - saying that, nothing will change now as it's been left far too late. people would moan and sulk and rage quit because they're no longer 2/3 hitting people and have to actually know how to play their class.

I'd love to have the opportunity to help with item creations and all that, we definitely need a lot more of this in the server. As for gems, well, that simply isn't going to change now - looks like we are stuck with people crying/moaning and saying how unbalanced everything is.

On euro a good FF kit was probably MC30-50?

On here we see MC50-100?

Yeah about that. I had 27-60 and that was considered fairly good ish. If the spells are based on official, i wonder if they experience the same? Ie people getting 2 hit

most end game wizzies on here will have +2/3 mc added on their rings/braces and neckies - that's roughly a total of 10-15 MC extra already - please tell me why one lvl 44 wiz should have considerably more MC than another lvl 44 wiz who has same items, but not gemmed?
Same goes for any other classes - how is that a good example of 'progression' in a game? It's not. It's an example of get money real quick, buy in game gold for real life cash and then use as many gems as you can in order to gain an advantage. it's shite. a better system would be to have items for every other lvl or something where stats are gradually increased by small amounts.

... What good is testing at medicore levels and medicore kit? Seriously, speak some sense. Eventually everyone in the game will be X level with all spells and sick kit. The IRL cash problem is exactly the reason why Mir is doomed because it's a pay 2 win game, but that's a separate argument that has no base in the current one we're trying to have.

We have to test with end-game kits and equal levels because that's the highest possible power of each class. When all classes are at their highest power you can finally start seeing who's stronger and who's weaker.

I refer to my previous post in another thread: http://www.lomcn.org/forum/showthre...-for-mods-devs&p=998048&viewfull=1#post998048

about why sins cannot simply "shadow dash in" when a wizz is casting blizzard/Met. The very second blizz/Met is casted the damage is already going off. Shadowstepping into a wizzard casting blizz/met on himself is literally suicide. Believe me, after pvping with EW2 and Adaephon many times, I realised how hopeless it was. The only thing you can do when a wizz casts blizz or met on themself is wait.

Even if we were to ShS in, their MagicShield absorbs 66.6% of ALL our damage. Example: Instead of hitting 100+100 like we would on say an archer, we hit 33+33 on a wizard. So we do as you say, simply run away. Not sure about you, but I don't think I've ever killed a wizard by running away.

The whole point of this argument is that Sins are essentially screwed against wizards (and, sadly warriors) in almost every matchup endgame assuming both equally skilled. We're getting very close to end-game now and sins are starting to wonder what niche they fulfill. Gemming has only further increased the speed at which we reach end-game, it isn't the problem nor the solution.
