Remote Server Access for 1.9 files?

i dont think there is one, i'm fairly certain leo made 1 4 1.4 servers but dnt think SHE has made 1 for 1.9 servers yet. (waits to be corrected)

Remote access as in you wanna be able to access the machine that hosts the server

If so just use RDC (Remote Desktop Connection) comes with winXP and run's at real time speed

It depends what level of access you want to give. If you don't mind giving full computer access then use a VNC varient like Ultr@VNC.

If you want to create a specifc user setup, with privilages, drive access rights and all that rubbish, then consider Windows 2003 Server with Terminal Services. This will allow for a perfect setup via Remote Desktop Connection. (WinXP's RDC takes control of the machine and stops the current user from accessing the system... although I believe there is a way round this - google it).

Or if its very limited remote control of the server components your after, I will consider coding something for you.

well he will give me VNC privlages, but all he wants to give me is just to be able to restart the server and add stuff towards it, hence why i asked :P

if u did, i think that alot of other people would be intrested, i no i would. It means that instead of a server team sending all the stuff 2 one person and w8ing 4 them 2 add it, they can just do it themselves (requires trust :O)

In which case DK, you use an FTP server. I wouldn't code something like that when such applications already exist. Both WinXP and Win2003 have FTP servers in the form of IIS6 (see Add/Remove programs)

@Toxick: How does he intend to limit what you are capable of through VNC? Its giving you full access to the system almost like you were there. :S
