Asian games are cheap to churn out because they re-use the same resources and features over and over again. Lineage2 was the most succesful subscription game ever to come to the west, and since then, ive seen the interface, modelling style, and playstyle used and used, and then used some more, untill they eventually ripped the arse out of it and it became ****ed.
Then you take a game like silkroad, which is innovative AND free. Its great because the game is so ****ing overcrowded that it lags to ****, and they are so desperate to keep players that you have to be caught botting 4 times before you are actually banned.
want to know what the most innovative game to come out of Asia in recent times was? 9Dragons, and 9Dragons had a $10million development cost.
