Wondered how long it would be before one of these threads appeared, but i bet it will get ruined with flames, as per usual.

I find it ironic how he jumps on top of crocodiles and survives but then swims with a stingray which very rarely kills people and that is the end of him.

True enough he did help animals a hell of a lot and i respect that

After risking his life so many times, it was bound to catch up with him eventually

Top guy and a bloody shame. Especially to die so young, and leave his wife with two young kids.

My heart goes out to the family right now.. but steve wouldnt of wanted mourners hes that damn tough.

He really was a great guy, I only just watched him on TV Yesterday, I got a chain mail too...

I was genuinley gutted when i heard about it this morning.

Loved to watch his programmes, was a top bloke.

He was a fab top Aussie bloke... very very watchable and i was in absolute awe of him...he was the best.

it was a prtty harsh way to die. The really sad thing about it, was he was doing less dangerous activites of late because of his children, and to be killed like that is pretty damn harsh.

Stabbed through the heart, which is just as unlucky as being speared by the stingray itself.

My condolences to his family and he was a great contribution to TV and educational development + he did a great amount for animals Respect and R.I.P.

:( I was shocket when the news came, very very very sad, I remember watching him a lot when I was younger.
