Monks use SC and DC combined. I would say the monks 43 weap is really good?

Please stop having an opinion about everything. Ppl like you is the reason that this server gets barely any updates or bug fixes. They just post and post and post controversial **** that simply confuse an already lazy and stubborn server team.
How can you honestly have an opinion about it? Do you have a monk lvl43 and a lvl43 and you are happy with it? I dont hence i respect opinions from ppl who do.

If you care about the server you play(i dont) just stfu and let ppl post actual feedback without u giving your opinion in everything from boss drops to whether Gerrard should leave Liverpool.

Wouldn't overly agree. It's ok. But the reason to me its ok, is that I'm not 100% sure on what the main stat should be for a monk as their is no one far enough in to confirm what the high level spells play off. But for a 43 char its not a great weapon, whereas every other 43 weapon are great for a level 43 char.

You have to remember the scale difference between melee and ranged

Just my view

Im still of the mind that Monks are fairly well off currently. Its easy to look solely at their damage output, but there a lot more to them that you have to consider, such as not losing anywhere near as many hits due to flinch, how they can hit from range, do equal damage against 2 mobs and potentially stun and kill them both.

PvP wise I think people underappreciate the mobility of monks. Embrace is huge when used well. So is the distance hitting from Thunder/Fire Shaolin.

As for the weapons, people forget that they need to be balanced. The SC stat is there for lvling with SuperShaolin. The DC+SC combined is there for the other Shoalin's.

For Thunder/Fire Shaolin those 43 weps are not DC8-24, they are 12-34.

Also worthy of note that the BDDpole and 40pole may have been switched, the current BDD pole seems to actually be the 40 pole stats.

Normally I think you talk rubbish, however, from playing a Monk at the moment, I agree with some of these points.

I think people are quick to say they are useless because they aren't hitting like BadBoy / Jeras / iNoob / Tori or Lkira yet.

Fact is, there is 2 43+ Monks ingame.

Give it time?

I was boosted on my monk till 29, after soloing to 38 after hitting 29 I feel rather worse than both sin/war

Most of the 40+ were fully boosted and didn't solo, maybe after 40 they are reasonbly strong but leveling without already good kit it will be very hard for newcomers.

I tried to solo a bit from level 22 odd and I just couldn't, without ThunderShaolin a Monk is completely useless.

Just giving my 2 cents as a player who didn't have any powerful kit.

I havent played one but i have seen their damage and i would say people are perhaps speaking a bit soon considering 1. We still havent figured out the class and 2. There arent any epic monk specs ingame yet like there are for every other class. All of the other classes have been in since the start and people knew pretty much from the offset how to play them, and theyve had over a year to build the kits we see ingame today.

I'd also say this is the true 'testing' of this new class, not only because the testing the chrons team do typically lacks breadth and depth but also because the only true way to test something like this is in the live environment in 'real world' scenarios on a large scale. At least, this is how it should be looked upon by the server team. Wont hold my breath though :P

Also just to further add to my point about kits/the early days of a class - i remember when the server first opened, lvling to 32 on a warrior in coral rings, 0 added attack speed, no TDB. It was dry as hell, but that was part of the grind for that class. Even levelling to 42 in a great axe was painful.

Monks may of not been looked into properly and rushed into to make the admin quick easy money from the game shop but the idea of these moan threads are just nade by people crying over playing a new class. Yeah fair enough archers and sins were the same and took time to be developed, but by crying and asking for changes is ridiculous. Exactly why other classes then become unbalanced. The anti flinch skill shouldn't be passive, rather like swift feet so its able to run it and make it harder for the class. People have been researching the class as seen in this thread and it can be seen their potential. A warrior with full a speed destroys people. I'm sure a monk with the same a speed would lock out any class. Just got to wait for end game high level monks. And when i say high level, like kassidu states around the 47+ mark with gear you see on high dps warriors (a speed + dc)

They're strong, just requires the right kit and the right added stats. It's an awkward as hell class to spec into though, not going to lie.

Surprised nobody's realised just how good this class will be end-game due to a certain mechanic.

The flinch is ridiculous. In OKS KR me and sylphrena on monks we just sprinted non stop, using barely any HP flinching people with our 5 step blade avalanche. Did f all damage but lvl 50 you'd be hitting like an archer.
