Omg there are some ungrateful souls on here, we get patches weekly, GMs are frequently in game, bugs are getting looked at - ok not everything is perfect, but lets not forget they are running this game in their spare time free of charge, for us to enjoy. I'd rather they carry on quietly working away, coming up with their weekly updates, and working through the list of things that need to be done, than have them at our beck and call here 24/7 answering every post, especially when some of the posts are so ungrateful and whiney.

To be brutally honest, I reckon you 4 should just crack on with your schedule and do what you're doing.
Last time I checked, on the grand scale of things, this is pretty much the best damn version of the server I've seen. (and that includes my own private Heroes one
)You should have Mods cover the forum and feed off them, rather than deal with the complaining.

i can see the points of everyone in this thread.
many are making bug threads and them thread dont get a response for days, they could be acknowledged rather quickly otherwise whats the point in a bug section. you dont have to fix right away just let us know you are aware of the bugs/threads. we understand this is a development project and we are the people helping you develop it (making it better by using our knowledge of the game(not like i have much lol)).
would also be nice to know what you are working on and why somethings dont make it into the updates we receive, tbh it sounds like you know about most of the problems you just letting us wonder.
think about it, most of these moans would be avoided (yes probably relpaced by some other moan) if you said what you couldnt get into the last patch/update for any reason.
did we really need OKS instead of the 3 skills we have listed being fixed? most bosses have not dropped 75% of the loot in their files yet so content aint needed atm.
dont take our moans to heart. most only moan to improve the server. we are the testers after all :P
i am enjoying Mir more than i have done for years and it is this server im playing so....

I do try to update bug threads as and when I potentially fix them.
I work full time, come home and what time I have I spend trying to code/add new content (same goes for the rest of the time), sometimes there isn't enough time in the week to get everything done, however it generally becomes first priority the week after.
Some complain about content, others about bugs, it can be hard balancing a steady medium.

samuel, i didnt mean it to sound bad if it did lol. i just meant if you look to see what the bug is just then make a post and say acknowledged or something, its an extra 5mins max lol.
Why not open a gameshop, doesn't have to be nothing amazing, 10% exp scrolls, special torches, bits and bobs, least that way your getting something back for all the hard work, I'm sure you have some dedicated players here willing to donate to the server
Best thing about server is its not been greedy. Add a donation system yes but for rewards and it will ruin it.
It's ok saying that, but not many will donate for nothing on a private server, least if its somthing minor then there getting something in return

100% agree.. i left a server that used a donation system for items and it was absolute balls after a few month.... im talking about MirRevenge if anyones wondering.
Dont ever bring a donate for items system in. Would ruin everything.

NO no and no. Please don't make it anything like that repulsive money grabbing USA conning scam version of the game. NO exp scrolls its easy to level. NO torches because they unbalance the economy. Almost everything USA sold had a thread about why it was wrong for the game play and the game balance. So no, unless you can think of something that wont make too much difference which I cannot. Possibly hire out skill necklace for a limited amount of time. Buy more storage space. Buy some of the crafting items that don't seem to drop much. Threads and webs come to mind. Other than that I can only suggest letting people people buy special versions of 40 armours with say +1 stat and are a different colour. NOthing extreme and nothing that give huge advantages. Maybe can donate for +1 defensive stat on an item. Who said anything about items in the GameShop? I said torches, exp scrolls, and other minor stuff? Not heaven arm and 43 weps........... You carnt expect these guys to host and everything else for free, and I'm 100% sure not many people will donate for free....
There is only one way free to play games can generate income without the "Pay to win" or "Pay for items" is they use a different donation system which is "Pay to be pretty".
Basically you implement a system where people can donate for different skins, spell colors/visual effects. Basically anything visual that does not give any one player a statistical advantage.

Apologies I was thinking "items" in day to day meaning not in game meaning. Torches are items too if you look at it that way. Violent makes more sense than copying the mess that was USA with its torches and buffs and exp scrolls and pay to get into caves.
Doesn't have to be nothing amazing, even stat torches, stones, break on death items that you buy at your own risk, even them transformation things they had where you turn into a Ninja for an hr with speed+2 and drop bonus, anything can be done, like I said nothing majorly game changing
