I don't play, but looking at the comments over the past few days I personally think your best bet is to restart the server.

Leave the current one online, increase drops or exp and do some fun events whilst you're working on the other.

Close server a few weeks before you're ready to drop the new one. Create some hype and bring the player base back.

I feel this is the best course of action they could take too. Kori partly hit the nail on the head with whatever they do at this point will not matter, I do agree with that part nomatter how big they plan to have this next patch to bring in people.

Wipe the current server or leave the current server up and start a new one along side it with fixes in place for past mistakes, bugs and anything else that needs ironing out. Insentives for new/active/returning players to pull them back in will obviously be needed whatever they may be. It will also give you a lot more time to work on this 'patch' you keep talking about.

Just my 2p.

I believe wiping the server and starting from scratch is futile - I don't think anyone who voted for option 4 would actually play in that scenario.

In my opinion, a server wipe has a higher chance of bringing players back than any other option. Not saying I’d play or not.

A lot of people weren't happy with how the management of the server was, so I'd agree even wiping the server wouldn't fix that, like I said, nothing they do matters at this point, it's incredibly hard to get players to return when they're angry at you. Even if they did wipe the server, what's to say the same problems don't repeat themselves - do they have the time and the resources to handle problems? If they didn't then, why now?

Your best course of action is leaving it up, sorting the gold scenario and enjoying the playerbase you have and work on building it back up.

At the very least wipe out gold and items id say, as if they wipe gold people are still left with items from exploited gold and other past bugs.

Personally option 4 seems the best all round as it means you can fix any issues and add in a new patch. Yes it's gonna such starting again specially for the top players but they were top once so they will be again lol.it makes it. Afresh new start again specially if what you add in is a good update. All I would say tho is anyone who donated should get all there GG back too.

I put 4 but honestly wouldn't play myself. Mainly because of how the server was handled initially, the abrupt and constantly revolving door of changes and then also largely because there is decent competition servers up or coming (Valkyrie + Primordials). If there was no other servers around or in the pipeline then the wipe would have more chance of working.

Stick with what you've got, sort the gold and hope to lure people back with patches/new stuff and the demise of the aforementioned servers lol :D

why is there no mention of rolling back to before the gold exploit? Is there no clear or even semi-clear point? or no backup exists that far back?
btw I don't play, just wondering.

servers got so much potential id be massively game for wiping and restarting with faster lvling speeds, we know what drops what and how to kill **** now so would be loads of fun starting again imo.

put all the books in shops except meteor strike etc and wipe it.

Could you let us know what your plans are regarding this so we know if we are wasting time leveling if complete wipe etc.

Whatever we decide to do, the current server is not going anywhere. So players who still want to play have no reason to stop playing.

I think its rather harsh to get on the band wagen aobut people being "angry at us". For what? I appreciate there were bugs, i also appreciate players saying we were not always transparent, but, we worked ALL the time, we spent more time on this server, talking to players working on files, trying to make positive changes, more than any server iv ever played.

We had a massive usercount, and trying to take everyones feedback and get it ingame was impossible. People being "angry" with us, is just crazy... Maybe not enjoying the content, or not agreeing with the decisions is absolutly acceptable, but angry, i just dont get it.

"twindrakeblade is just weak and they dont listen to me. They are idiots!" - That is just not a reason to be angry, thats a reason to disagree, but maybe i live on a different planet :P

The time it took you to sort things that needed attention was one of your main problems.

Wiping would be your best bet. Most of the Mir population love the start of servers and would probably come back if a fresh start happened

I agree with make a fresh server with all your fixes and updates and hope for no other bugs, there will AlwayZ be a good user count starting fresh and if it’s a good server with no problems people stay and like people say a fresh server is what people like to start as it’s a race to see who can get the first lvl 36 wep or kill the first hard boss etc

Majority of my anger also came from the fact massive bugs/exploits were kept in game for weeks on end.

What is it gonna be then, remove gold from current server and put a new server up for the majority who voted for a wipe?

People were angry that you did the typical bullshit that bad owners do. Fail to expeditiously fix issues in a timely manner, fail to properly and proactively ban cheats and spend too much time pandering to and being manipulated by "famous" players.

Top it off with the constant defensive "not our fault" rhetoric and it is a sad state.

This server had the chance and potential to rival chronicles but the decision making and reaction to issues ruined it.
