Something really strange happens to me once I've been attacked.. the game forces me to walk before I can run start running even when I hold down the right click o.o

Do you mean it persists longer than you being flinched? (When you are hit you can only run after 2 or so seconds)

Well I've seen in a recent video that this doesn't seem to affect other players.. happy to share the times at which this happens... but it happens so often that I probably won't need to.

I believe he's talking about being locked in position unless he walks, similar to when you are shoulder dashed and get stuck

Just to clarify I'm talking about the fundamentals of mir where you get attacked and the flinch effect happens where you are forced to walk one square at a time for 3 steps (if continuously trying to walk) and how magically this effect doesn't apply to two individuals in a recent video that has been discussed on this forum.

the video does not show them doing as much walking because the peron videoing them is slow, therefor it looks like they dont walk 3 steps, when infact they are.

I can see people getting hit, flinching (where the character makes a sound of getting hit) and directly running again, despite the fact that these people seem to be able to run away from sticky situations where people land 4 hits on them in a 2 second time span..

If this is the case, then they are cheating.

But what your experiencing, is normal.

hit, 3 steps, then run

it is infact possible to instarun after being hit....not everytime but there is a bug where you can do it. ive done it before, its nice when it happens. its usually when u are holding rightmousebutton to run in a blocked direction.. then u get hit, you move your mouse to move in a direction you can actually run and it doesnt walk first it just insta runs.

mir coding is dodgy. dunno why it happens but it does.

I had this bug as well, it was the most annoying thing ever because I always use the right click and it basically makes it obsolete if you are in a cave trying to kill monsters hitting and running.

iv been recently called a cheater for running immediately after being hit, infact I was using shoulderdash. also if some people don't already know if you are hit mid-dash the character will complete the animation before they stop. Another thing iv been accused of :P

If it's assassin's they probably have swift feet. or a warrior pressing shoulder dash looks exactly like insta-run.
