The one on the left of Jesus is a woman. Look at her hair and figure closely, zoom in if you have to. The shape in which Jesus and this woman (who's clothes are Jesus's inverted) are angled towards each other is a distinct \/ shape. In symbology /\ is the symbol of a man, and \/ of a woman. Da Vinci is supposedly hinting at the supremecy of the female race. Also look at the disciples, they look like they're screwin at Jesus and Mary. There's also a hand on the left (in between the black haired dude on Mary's left, and the bald geez) which belongs to nobody, holding a sharp knife. Tryin' to kill the woman?

But you gotta remember, this is still just a painting by an Artist, it could mean fcuk all, could be Da Vinci havin a laugh.
