ACEM2 failed for a reason and we will not be returning to that.
They're going to give people an exp buff of 1.5x if leveling in caves below level 35. That means it goes from x2 to x3.Few people ive spoke to on sabre want to join back to chron but just cba for grind should make thing eaiser to get to 40 and i think usercount would start getting better again.
Why would they do that? The economy for all consumables (runes, drugs, benes, torches, etc.) would tank in an instant and slotted/yellow level 20-33 items would start being sold to shops, as that market would also be flooded.Put sub bosses on every floor of every map. No fakes.
No it never failed, it got abandon so they could introduce cash shop from lvl1, it was the first feature to be mentioned for chronicles.
People are complaining nothing is dropping. If level 20-35 items are going to be dropping from these sub bosses I think it would encourage more people to hunt. ATM the only subs worth killing are orcs. They're going to give people an exp buff of 1.5x if leveling in caves below level 35. That means it goes from x2 to x3.

How is this a good idea?
Bullshit.
I hate replying to **** like this but I'll do it again. It failed because the team fell apart. It failed because I couldn't handle the **** the Mir 'community' considers constructive criticism. It failed because nothing was balanced when we launched and any attempt to correct them was meet with equal parts 'this is ****' and 'thanks for changing'. I walked away from Ace for my own sanity and it was the best thing I've done in a long time.
It didn't fail because a GameShop was wanted.
I've said this a few times on the forum so it's not new information. Not sure why people think otherwise.
I would hate to be a server owner, 90% of what you have to reply to is usually crap about the server.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Cynicalbrit...t_of_tb_abandonning_his_own_subreddit/cfe3rgcI can't comment on Chronicles since I have no involvement in it bar supporting Sam and Babyhack.
To be honest I don't believe being a Server owner is all bad. Yes I feel the community is far too negative but that's not unique to Mir. You always hear the worst from people rather than the best. Some people are cut out to deal with that better than others. I wasn't one of the people who could handle it. Once I accepted that and walked away from Ace I became a lot happier.
But what I learnt from running Ace was useful in the end and I know should I run a Server in the future that I'm better equipped to handle it. It wasn't all bad

And as a last note, I wasn't around for it so dunno what actually went on, but openly allowing past cheaters to re-lvl was always going to end badly, and new players checking out the forum and considering coming to play are just seeing a server accommodating to hacks. And whether they are cheating again or not, its a massive turn off, even more so in that people seem to think current systems can stop new hack programs, that's just not how software evolves. Good reacts to bad, not the other way around.
I sorta agree. I think permabans for cheaters will defo help in reducing their number, particularly those that only use them occasionally/in PvE.This.
Its never too late to go back and readdress this!
VVVVVVVVThink my only gripe drop wise is when you kill bosses like DD, IZT, KS and that, it seems somewhat depressing when the drop is a magic bracelet, magic helmet and a hard glove. While I don't expect something magnificent to drop all the time, I wouldn't of minded if even a bene, maybe a rune dropped, not three items that sells for the grand total of perhaps 5k gold, it's pretty soul crushing.
There is a new drop system going in game for the next reboot so that some high end bosses will drop at least 1 item, but again this is a long term server regardless of user count, you all say you want items but then when items start dropping players moan that the price of items have dropped to much.
The next reboot will change the exp cap, add a new system to drops, adjust some spells (ninja boost) and fix a number of envir bugs.

As for the rest of the drops, I still just don't think people are killing the stuff that drops what they want, they just want the stuff they kill to drop exactly what they want.
Iv had Poison Cloud abut I occasionally still go back to the place/mob I got it from and its deserted, People just wanna sit on 2-3 bosses and have stuff handed to them.
seems like people have been spoiled by easy servers.
Only suggestions I might have are potentially looking at making levelling easier up to 37-40, .

if you think a bene and a hard torch everytime is worth killing then your wrong.
Seems right.
People who have played lots of versions of mir think they know where everything drops. Sometimes they are right. They kill OK OKS DD until they can hit EM or newer bosses. If these dont drop what they want they get upset. They also hunt bugged bosses if they can find them.
Levelling here is easy but that seems to be what people go on about. Do like USA and change the numbers. You can be level 70 in 2 days. Better answer would be to lower level needed for some skills. TDB at level 28 mass heal so toas r useful 28 shield at 28 and so on.
Sorry but all the "newer boss's" dont just drop what we don't want.. they drop nothing at all but pots.
The Exp would of been fine if they didnt change it to x1? after level 44 and kept it to what they actually advertise.
