Yay! I've always wanted a cardboard box and a blanket.

Rap/hip hop/r&b is getting bigger and better. It started with NWA, Tupac, Biggy etc. were mainly just black people liked it. Now look how big it is with Eminem, 50 Cent etc. with allmost all black people and most white people like it.

In 2 years rap will still be here, in 10 years rap will still be here. Rap isnt just going to die like that, no matter how much you want it to.

Do chinesse/asian people not exist in your eyes or did you just forget they exist forgive me if im colorblind but there not black or white

Cant say i know many chinese/asian people so i cant comment on them...

TheKing, you speak utter **** and for that reason i thought id point it out for you.

And for clarity, and to haha your stupid TODAY comments..heres the current top 40 selling singles in this country:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/singles.shtml

And i dont think any of the top 3 are 'rap' artists...

You should know sales dont mean much anymore.

When everyone has PC's and can download there songs. Younger people especially, which are mainly all rap fans 12-25 year olds download songs and albums, not buy them. They dont have the money to buy them when they can just get them free.

Do you download songs / albums? I know i do and almost everyone i know my age does.

And it also doesnt help that theres been alot of rock stuff come out recentley and hardly any rap.

http://top40-charts.com/chart.php?cid=27 Thats the US chart, alot more rap/hip hop/r&b than rock.

Current Rap is manufactured pop music.

Yes, 50 cent, eminem, 2pac and biggy and who ever you wanna throw in there are people well known, but how about "The Pussy Cat Dolls" who have been around hardly any time at all, and are probebvly known on as big of a scale as eminem and 50 etc.

If 2pac were still alive, i do really believe rap would be dead, the only reason more people like it nowadays is because its changed, its not about rapping anymore, its all about making a quick dolla or so. The songs are manufactured pop, more and more people like songs because their getting more main stream by the day.

Look at some of eminems songs, Purple Pills for example, how the hel is that a hard core rap song? It isn't, because its changing heavily to a closer to pop area so its open to more than the average people who like rap.

The fact that you're argueing over 2Pac being the best rapper ever is stupid, its all opinions. See i think his songs mean more than the current manufactured pop songs do, but i still prefer newer songs what come out due to it having better music, more bass and hell, i just prefer it.

hell i could say 50 Cent is the best rapper for example and even make a thread about it on a Mir Server forum and try and convince he's the best rapper, but its stupid because its all opinions.

If you really wanna argue about music, find a music forum, probebly a rap forum where most wil agree with you befor you get more mardy and complain about rock being popular at all.

-Typed fast and didn't really check what was writing so don't pull me up on spelling mistakes or grammar please.

P.S How the hell is Ludacris the best seller at the moment, morons. His newest album is terrible, his "Coming To America" was the best album he's had by far.

To TheKing
Contradicting yourself a little? Saying sales dont matter anymore because of downloads then give us a link to charts from the US?
thats stupid, your saying their not proving anything due to downloads but then try to prove rap is more liked by showing us charts?

Rap/hip hop is the most popular music in the world... you lose.

Are we living in america? Are we even talking about america?

I think someones clutching at straws!

You will notice i have put the "world" bit in bold, just to make it more easy for you to understand ;)

And Tofas the more well known rappers are closer to pop songs but imo other rap is better, the stuff you wouldnt have heard of were they dont always rap about shooting people etc. I wasnt argueing tupac is the best artist btw that was the other guy :P

And i was just showing it, it still has quite a few rock songs in even though in America rap/hip hop/r&b is alot more popular than in the UK. But still its not that much dominated by rap and i'd say that is because of downloads.

The sort of people that buy rock music are 25+, they dont download because its easier to buy and most earn quite a lot at that age. But rap is aimed at younger people who cant afford to buy them and know more about computers so they just download them. But you will still get younger people buying rap music, they might be rich or not have a computer or whatever.

"P.S How the hell is Ludacris the best seller at the moment, morons. His newest album is terrible, his "Coming To America" was the best album he's had by far."

Thats just his single, not album :P

Bah, didnt realise about it being a single, still i didnt rate the single very well at all.

Sway is very good, i quite like his style, he's one of the few who dont go on about killing etc who i actualy like
He also doesn't have a record lable, and wil lnot sign up to various lables who have offered to him.
Well thats what i heared last, dont know if he finaly decided to go to one or not.

Sayign that, i listen to everything except, dance, trance and that type of chav music which aint really music at all.

Sounds like you like same music as me then :P

I dont really like rappers that always rap about the same thing, guns, girls, drugs and nothing else. Sway is one of my favourites atm, also helps that hes English :P Also you might like Talib Kweli, hes good too but some of his songs really aint that good.

Sway has his own label now "Dcypha" i know he signed up 1 group called Tripple C but aint heard of him signing up anyone else. I would have liked him to sign with Def Jam just so Lady Soverign, who imo is absolute ****, is not what other nationalitys think of when they think british rap.

Rap is made jsut so the can have their money stolen by poor people?

Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

Huh?

What i think you mean is that... why would rappers make music if people just download there songs/albums? I think your just trying to be clever but ill answer you anyway.

Obviously there are people that buy there music, if 1 in 10 people buy their album and the other 9 download it there making alot of money, Millions. They also make alot of money of adverts and stuff.

Seriously im suprised you are able to type when your head is wedged so far up your own posterior.

'Ill answer you anyway' - Well yes you will as this is a (and wait ill put it in bold so you will understand) forum, Its the whole point.

I think that you need to open your eyes, obviously your glamourisation of 'rap' culture has closed your mind to all exterior traffic except for your own wild opinions and ideals.

I think that you are an ignoramous, and that maybe you should (here we go again) Listen to other people and to their opinions before you keep rifling off the same point over and over.

"Seriously im suprised you are able to type when your head is wedged so far up your own posterior."

"I think that you are an ignoramous"

And alot of sarcasm, basically you just want me to react to them, but i wont :)

See now what is it with you?

You sit there making assumptions and accusations when you clearly have no bloody idea!

And drop the 'placid' act as it doesnt impress anybody.
